K-POT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is situated at a highly advantageous location in Philadelphia near a shopping mall teeming with massive customer flows, making if a very popular dining place for customers, especially Asian diners.
Accommodating about 170 seats, the restaurant adopt a minimalist style for its interior design celebrating a multitude of gray hues to create a sense of modernity without extravagance. All table tops are made of marble, providing diners with a feeling of unvaunted luxuriousness. As a routine practice, the most recently popular hip-hop music of South Korean is played in the restaurant as the pleasant vibes start to pick up. Guests who have finished their meals may also find it blithely content to grab a seat at the bar counter and get a small drink to satisfy their thirst. There is nothing to match the pleasure of tipsiness provided by the variety of soft drinks and cocktails.
No MSG is used and oil and salt are kept at their minimum in the restaurant’s main offerings of Korean food and hot pots. Only the finest fresh ingredients are selected in order to prepare dishes that retain, to the largest extent, the authentic flavors of ingredients. The signature dishes of the restaurant are the tender, juicy rib eye steaks, mellow short ribs, and the must-have beef rolls for Korean style hot pots known for their lighter flavors; that, coupled with Soju - the best partner for Korean dishes, ensures the healthiness and balanced nutrients in all of its offerings.
Designated employees are assigned to clean the restaurant on a daily basis. Every now and then, the restaurant also hires professional cleaning crews to carry out deep cleanup operations to ensure that the restaurant lives up to high hygienic standards and qualities.
The restaurant is staffed by about 50 employees. Despite a large roster of employees, robust management is still appropriately maintained in the restaurant. Strict hierarchical structure management is maintained over both the dining room and kitchen by designated managers, with a specific reward and penalty system being implemented to regularize employees’ behaviors. Training sessions and meetings are organized in a regular basis to inspire different ideas and collect appropriate inputs from employees. Problems arising from daily operations are also discussed and summarized in these meetings so that they can be timely addressed, promoting team collaboration and operation performance of the restaurant.
Sabrina, the owner, has been devoted to restaurant business ever since she came to the U.S. With decades’ worth of experience, broad connections and distinguished reputation in the field, she joined the current company along with a friend and opened the K-POT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot. The restaurant was an instant success, diners often have to wait in queue during peak hours. Planning to open one or two branches in Philadelphia, Sabrina has already selected locations and is ready to proceed with specific preparations for launching. For the future, Sabrina will continue her effort to build up the restaurant’s image and word of mouth in the field of Korean food and hot pots, thereby bringing the K-pot franchise to more Asian guests or even all American diners.
