Sister Liu’s Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant offering purely handmade dumplings, Chinese specialty snacks and private-kitchen Chinese burgers. Since opening its first restaurant in 2018, Liu has captured the hearts of local diners like a whirlwind with excellent flavors and high-quality services.
In a matter of 2 years, the restaurant has made unimaginable achievements out of the fresh and yummy dumplings and crisp and tender Chinese Burgers: it has managed to open its franchised stores and purchased the first Chinese buffet car in North Carolina even amidst the ravaging pandemic; further, it has also gained high acclamations from multiple top-level restaurant-themed media.

Sister Liu’s Kitchen maintains a core orientation of “home”. Rejecting the luxurious decoration, it adopts cleanness and simplicity to create a sense of homecoming for diners.
The integration of great food with an artistic conception can also be found in Sister Liu’s Kitchen. Outside of the restaurant is a patch of a secluded bamboo grove, which is surrounded by a parterre full of blooming roses echoing perfecting to the straight upstanding bamboos.
Absolutely “Unique” Dishes and Flavors
Making dishes that cannot be found elsewhere. Born and brought up in Northeast China, Sister Liu brought purely handmade dumplings and Chinese Burgers to America. The signature offering Pork Belly Pickled Cabbage Dumplings is unique across the entire U.S. Further, the private-kitchen dish Chinese Burger, which Sister Liu always speaks highly of, is made of streaky pork and chewy shank beef mixed in a 3:7 proportion, and the bread that gives a uniquely soft and glutinous texture after undergoing multiple steaming and air-drying processes.
Differing from the majority of restaurants that purchase large bulks of frozen meat from supermarkets, Sister Liu insists upon purchasing fresh meat on a daily basis. Even the proportion of fat and lean meat is selected based on the requirements of the dumplings and bread, so as to ensure the absolute fresh, juicy flavor of the dishes. For other ingredients, Sister Liu also maintains strict control and always selects the best that can be found in the market.
A Sincere, Honest Operating Attitude
The original idea of Sister Liu’s Kitchen was to bring the most authentic dumplings in Northeast China to America to truly cater to the needs of local customers. To Sister Liu’s mind, the operating principle of her restaurant can be summarized into the following lines: “offering what customers love with my expertise, and providing the healthiest food possible with a clear conscience”. These words, despite their simplicity, convey the attitude upheld by the restaurant.
