Signature Dishes

Authentic, flavorful and generous, these are the most frequent comments left by numerous diners to XINLONG FOOD on Google.

Fresh ingredients are the highest tribute to cuisine. On a daily basis, the restaurant purchases fresh ingredients just to ensure great texture and quality of its offerings. All flour-based dishes are also made daily by hand, with each process implemented extremely carefully to ensure chewy skin and tender fillings.

The restaurant maintains an extensive menu to satisfy the hungry stomach of every native from Northeastern China.Pickled Cabbage with Blood Sausage in Pot, a signature dish in Northeastern China, represents the most authentic taste that has been sought after by food lovers over the years. The fat and thin fresh pork, home-made blood sausage and pickled cabbage perfectly blend together to give rise to sour, delicate, tender, fat but not greasy tastes. Whether tasted while hot or cold, it is always irresistible given its mellow, fragrant and excellent flavor.

Handmade buns, especially the Braised Pork Bun, are highly popular. With soft skin, tasty meat fillings and rich aroma of sauce and meat, different tastes just dance in your mouth so beautifully that you just do not want to swallow it. Northeastern Style Sweet and Sour Pork is another must-order dish that pleases your nose even before it is served.

The golden fried pork wrapped in coriander, green onion and ginger just seduce the eyes of diners. Once put into the mouth, you will instantly get a crisper sound, followed by rich, sweet and sour tastes of the sauce and the chewy meat with charred aroma. Different dumplings, House Special Lamb Soup, Sauteed Sliced Beef Tripe Tip, Stir Fried Intestines with Hot Green Pepper also brings authentic flavors.

Perseverance with Heart

No matter where they go, people always constantly look for and defend the tastes of their memories to relieve their nostalgia.

Vivian, a native of Harbin, opened this restaurant with the intention of bringing the flavors of her hometown to Canada, where they can be passed down and reproduced in Toronto. She wanted to bring the flavors of her home to Canada and to recreate them in Toronto, so that her fellow countrymen could have a place to vent their emotions and diners from different ethnicities could understand and appreciate the culinary culture of the Northeast. With her in-depth understanding of her hometown cuisine and professional skills as a veteran pastry chef, Vivian is able to recreate and present 100% of the flavors of the morning market in Northeastern China. She personally takes care of everything and devotes all her heart and soul to the restaurant. The instability in the early days did not discourage her. Instead, she kept her feet on the ground and focused on honing the dishes. Gradually, the restaurant made a reputation.

“Watching them eat happily is my greatest satisfaction”, Vivian admits, adding that the recognition of her diners gives her more peace of mind and happiness than the amount of money she makes.

The daily meals we eat create a place called home. Today's XINLONG FOOD, like a bridge, connects countless people's nostalgia for home. We believe that the restaurant will attract more people in the future to meet with authentic flavors and pass on this warmth forever.
