If one says there is no national boundary for music, I will make the following statement with my experience as a reporter of nice foods when I agree to that: There is no national boundary for nice foods as well. For example, your smell and taste buds will keenly capture a sweet and happy scent and you will subconsciously walk to No. 55 of the street, i.e.  Red Papaya Thai & Grill, following the source of the scent when you, your family members and friends are wandering in Wyndham Street of Canada. Your taste buds will be thoroughly satisfied by the delicious Thailand, Vietnam and western cuisines. More important, each of your pore will feel greatly comfortable due to the gentle and grand environment, and considerate and affectionate service of the restaurant. Then I believe it will become your only choice when you go there quietly alone, or have a special lunch with family members next time.

Then please learn about the restaurant according to my explanation. Do not try to conceal your great interest in it, for I know you cannot wait to fully satisfy your tastes there.

Let me begin with the environment first. Red Papaya Thai & Grill seems somehow unique in the busy street. It is surrounded by many banks and street malls, and is free of the hustling and crowdedness of a conventional nice-food street people have been familiar with. What is most important is its unique decoration styles. As the first Vietnam and Thailand restaurant in surrounding areas, it embodies rich South-eastern Asian customs everywhere. Obviously, the owner of the restaurant is a person who has been cultivated with several cultures and dares to try new things. Thus your vision will meet with strong shocks from the grand, pioneering atmosphere and sense of lines the westerners like there. But it is strange that the owner of the restaurant has integrated the oriental and western cultures so well that one feels quite comfortable instead of strange. I believe a vivid oil painting of forest will be fixed in your mind together with the Thailand lighting device that send out fantastic light. And you will miss the soft and comfortable red high chairs, warm and gentle environment and nice Asian foods with unique tastes so long as you visit here once.

Then let’s turn to cuisine styles. The design of the cuisine here has fully embodied the tolerance, grace and carefulness of the owner of the restaurant. Dishes of Thailand and Vietnam tastes are mainly supplied here, and have been cooked to the extreme meticulously, and selection of materials, cooking, placing and delivery service of the cuisine have been done perfectly. The authentic and rich Thailand and Vietnam tastes of the appetizers, Tom Yum Kung, Mongo salad, spring rolls and spicy fresh white noodles etc. will melt you instantly. 80% of the customers who dine here will choose Asian foods again or even several times. If you happen to belong to the remaining 20%, then what do you prefer, fried chick leg, hamburger, or dare you try mixture of Asian foods and western foods? Ok all the customers and all the requests will be highly satisfied here. Shrimps, beef, chicken and sea foods send out enticing fragrances after being meticulously cooked by the cooks of western foods. The oriental and western food materials such as fried wonton added with cheese, red-yellow-green curry and Drunken Noodles etc. sparkle with enthusiasm after being subtly arranged by fate, and combine into unique tastes lingering on teeth. If you are brave enough, you may even choose allocation of different main dishes, meat and soup freely, and various spicy alcohol you like. Red Papaya Thai & Grill has meticulously told you that there is no way of eating and mixture that has not been permitted. Everything has been ready for you so long as you want to do so.

You must have been full of curiosity toward the boss of the restaurant after I have told you so much about it. The owner of Red Papaya Thai & Grill is not a shrewd and capable middle-aged man you have imagined, or a wordy woman who quibbles over every detail. Instead, the boss is a somehow quiet, reserved and generous Miss Xiao with Chinese ancestry. In surface, her experience is full of turns and twists, and is rather complex. She began to be exposed to catering industry at the age of 13 or 14, and has washed bowls, foreman, front desk clerk, dim sum and cook as well. He can cook various styles of cuisine. But her experience is rather simple if you think carefully. All her work in 32 years is closely related to catering. In my opinion, the only explainable reason for one who has taken great interest and delight in different fields of the same industry is hobby. All her answers to my question in the interview embodied pure ardent love for catering industry: Have you ever thought of developing in other industry?---Never. I just like catering industry. How do you compete with other restaurants?---I have never thought of competing with others, and I focus on satisfying customers. What is the secret of your success?---No secret. Just satisfy customers, and then yourself will feel satisfied too.

There is an ancient Chinese saying: Water is beneficial for all the other things but do not compete with them. You will feel such spirit in Miss Xiao and her Red Papaya Thai & Grill. Maybe it will become another reason why you love Red Papaya Thai & Grill in addition to the nice foods.
